Today is the last day for online reporting and fee payment for the first merit list released by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). The window will close at 5 pm today. Students who have got a seat in the first merit list can pay their fees and upload documents till 5 pm today. To accept the seat, students have to visit the official website josaa.nic.in.

The first merit list for admission in various engineering institutes IIT, NIT, IIIT and other engineering colleges was released on June 20. After seat allocation, students will have to accept their seat before the online reporting time. After paying the seat acceptance fee, students will get a provisional seat allotment letter, which the students will have to keep with them after downloading it. If students do not accept the seat allotted to them by the online reporting time of 5 pm today, then the seat allotted to them will be cancelled.

This year the JoSAA counselling process will be completed in 5 rounds. The seat allocation list for Round 2 is expected to be released on June 27. The third merit list may come on July 4, the fourth merit list on July 10 and the fifth merit list on July 17. After the completion of all the five JoSAA rounds, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will conduct two more rounds of counselling for the remaining seats (NIT, IIIT, GFTI and IIEST).

CSAB will complete the council round process between July 17 and July 24. Interested students can get more information by visiting the official website csab.nic.in. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) comes under the Ministry of Education, it regulates and manages the admission process in 121 government technical institutes.
Students are advised to visit the official website of JoSAA for more details.
