The second round of seat allocation for 59 thousand 917 seats in 121 institutes including IITs and NITs was released on Thursday evening. Students can do online reporting till 5 pm on July 1. If any deficiency is found in the uploaded certificates, they will have to respond to the query received till 5 pm on July 3, otherwise their seat will be cancelled. Along with this, the date for starting classes in IIT has also been released.
You will have to state the reason for leaving the seat
For those students who want to leave their seat from JoSAA counseling after the second round of seat allocation, the withdrawal option is available. Students can leave their seat and leave the counseling by filling the required information. For this, they will have to tell JoSAA the reason for leaving the seat. These reasons include which college, which branch the student was expecting to get, whether he has got admission in any other college (except IIT, NIT) branch in the year 2024 and whether the student is willing to appear for JEE Main exam again in the year 2025. Students can withdraw from their allotted seat till the fourth round. Their fees will be refunded.
