The counselling process for admission in NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand will be started in the first fortnight of June. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is preparing to start the counselling process from June 10. In the first phase, there will be counselling for IIT, after which counselling will be started in NIT Jamshedpur as per the cutoff set on the basis of JEE Mains score. Along with releasing the formal dates of counselling, the cutoff of NIT Jamshedpur will also be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, but even before this, students have started assessing this year according to the cutoff of last year. Students are hopeful that this year's cutoff will also be around the same.
150 seats reserved under female supernumerary
Admission will be taken for a total of 751 seats of B.Tech in Jamshedpur. Let us tell you that out of these 751 seats, 150 seats are reserved under female supernumerary, which are only for girl students. There are 289 seats in the open category and the rest are reserved quota. At the same time, 50 percent of the seats are reserved for the students of Jharkhand.
