This is how priests are prepared
According to media reports, TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) offers four courses to prepare priests for the service of Lord Venkateswara: Veda Parayana, Divya Prabandha, Archakatvam, Purohitvam. The Ved Parayan course is of 12 years duration, while the remaining three courses are of eight years each. TTD fully sponsors these courses and also provides a stipend of Rs 1,000.
The temple is run by a board of 29 members.
The board can have a maximum of 29 members, including representatives of the state legislature, who include people from different states. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) was established in 1933 under the TTD Act and the current structure is under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act.
This is the tenure of a trustee
The tenure of a trustee is three years. He can be re-appointed, or a new person can be appointed as trustee in his place, this decision is taken by the government. The appointment is made entirely by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The current board includes some MLAs, as well as people from different backgrounds and states, seeking to bring diversity to its administration.

In the selection process, the appointments are announced by the Office of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Then through the applications received it is ensured that various state, local and regional representation is given due place in the board. At present, the existing board members are from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
Priests get paid this much
According to reports, the salary of priests is determined in different ways. The chief priest of the temple, called Pradhan Archaka, is hereditary and has a monthly salary of about Rs 82,000, apart from other facilities. Other head priests are also hereditary and receive a salary of Rs 52,000 per month, although the amount of allowances is not disclosed.
The salary of non-hereditary priests ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000, depending on their experience. Some hereditary priests are also given large lump sums in return for their contributions, such as Ramanna Dikshitulu, who was given Rs 30 lakh for his services.
