KVS Admissions 2024: Registration for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya will start from April 1, 2023. According to the notification of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, online registration for admission in class one will be done from 8 am on April 1 to 5 pm on April 15. For admission in class one, the age of the child should be minimum six years as on 31 March 2024. That means the child should be born on or before April 1, 2018. For classes 2 and above, offline registrations will also start from April 1, but will continue till April 10 only. Admissions to classes other than class one will be possible only when seats are vacant. Whereas for Bal Vatika 1, 2 and 3, registration will be done offline i.e. in schools from 1st April. Online registration can be done only on KVS website kvsangathan.nic.in. Whereas offline registrations will also be done.
KVS Admission Age Limit: Age limit for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission
Parents of the child should keep in mind that for admission in class one, the child should be at least 6 years of age. Age will be calculated from March 31, 2024. Children born on April 1 will also be considered eligible. The age of the child should be less than 8 years.
– In KV new admission, 15 percent seats will be reserved for SC category, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for OBC.

If sufficient applications are not received (offline) under Right to Education and second notification for admission of SC, ST, OBC (Class 1) – 7 May 2024. Registration will be from 8th May to 15th May. Admission list will be released from 22nd May to 27th May.
Registration (offline mode) of class 2 and other classes (except class 11th), if seats are vacant in a particular class – 1 April to 10 April 2024.
Release of list for second class and further classes – 15 April 2024
Admission in class 1 and further classes – 16 April to 29 April 2024

KVS Balvatik : Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika
There will also be admissions for Kindergarten in many Kendriya Vidyalayas of the country. Know what the age should be-
Bal Vatika – For 1 – The child has completed 3 years of age but is less than 4 years of age.
Bal Vatika – for 2 – Child must have completed 4 years of age but less than 5 years of age.
Bal Vatika – For 3 – The child has completed 5 years of age but is less than 6 years of age.
(Age in the above three categories will be calculated from March 31, 2024.)
These documents are necessary for admission
– Original date of birth certificate of the child. It will be returned to the parents after verification.
– SC, ST, OBC certificate (if applicable)
– Address proof
– Service certificate of the child's mother/father showing the number of transfers in the last seven years. It will be necessary to have the stamp and signature of the office head on it.
– Two photographs of the child.
Admission for KV 2nd class
If seats are vacant in the second class in any Kendriya Vidyalaya, then admissions in the second class there will start from April 1, 2024. Its last date is 10 April 2024. This process will be offline. Applications will have to be submitted to the principal office of the concerned school.
How to apply
Parents who want to get their children admitted in class 1 will have to visit the websites kvsagathan.nic.in and kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in and submit their applications. KV has a total of 1,254 schools in the country. During the application, child's name, parents' name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number and other details will have to be filled carefully.
