Haryana Public Service Commission has extended the last date of application for the recruitment of 2424 posts of Assistant Professor. Now one can apply for this recruitment till 2 September 2024. Earlier the last date to apply was 27 August 2024. The commission has said that in view of the technical problems being faced in obtaining caste and income certificate on Saral Portal (SARAL), it has been decided to extend the last date. One can apply by visiting the official website regn.hpsc.gov.in or hpsc.gov.in. Out of the vacancies, 1273 posts are reserved for general category candidates, 429 posts for SC, 361 posts for BCA, 137 posts for BCB and 224 posts for EWS category candidates.

Educational Qualification- Candidates should have a Masters degree from a recognized university in the subject for which they are applying, and should have at least 55 percent marks in their Masters. Knowledge of Hindi / Sanskrit up to Matric is a must. Candidates should have passed UGC NET or CSIR NET or should have a PhD degree. Age limit-

To apply, the minimum age of the candidates should be 21 years and maximum age should be 42 years as on July 15, 2024.

Application fee-

Male candidates of general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000. Female candidates of general category will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. SC, BCA, BCB and EWS candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. Disabled candidates of Haryana will not have to pay any fee.

Exam Pattern-

Candidates will first have to give a screening test and subject knowledge test. In the screening test, candidates will be asked 100 MCQ questions, for which they will be given 2 hours. The total marks of this paper will be 100. The total marks of the subject knowledge test will be 150, for which candidates will get 3 hours.
