The admission process for undergraduate and graduate professional courses has started in Lucknow University. Admissions for the academic session 2024-25 will be done through the centralized admission system of the university. It is mandatory to do LURN registration before filling the form. The last date for filling the application form has been fixed as May 31. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai told that all the information related to admission is available on LU's website www.lkouniv.ac.in. Candidates can also fill the admission form by downloading the LU app. Vice Chancellor explains that LURN registration is mandatory for every candidate before filling the centralized admission form. LU spokesperson Professor Durgesh Srivastava said that in case of any kind of inconvenience, help can be taken by calling the helpline number 0522-4150500 from 10 am to 6 pm.
In BA NEP, one subject will have to be selected from each group. Before the session 2024-25 in LU, there were 11 groups in BA NEP. Now the group has been reduced to eight. However there are conditions in selecting the subjects. Only one subject can be selected from each group. A subject allotted as Major cannot be taken as Minor. Minor subjects cannot be taken from the group from which major subjects have been taken. Statistics subject will be taken as minor only if the candidate has taken Mathematics subject as major. It is mandatory to take Mathematics subject along with Statistics subject.
University got 91st position in Skimago ranking
It has been ranked 91st in the entire country in the Skimago ranking. LU has achieved this ranking because of research, innovation and digital presence. Earlier the rank was 281st. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai gave information in this regard.

For UG professional courses i.e. BBA and BCA, general and OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 and SC, ST and disabled people will have to pay Rs 500. Whereas for DIFORMA, the fee will be Rs 1000 and 500 and for B.El.Ed, the fee will be Rs 1600 and Rs 800 respectively.
