The blueprint for medical studies in Hindi has been prepared in the medical colleges of Bihar. Medical studies in Hindi will start from this session. For this, the health department has formed a committee. Dr. Abha Rani Sinha, Principal of SKMCH, who is a part of it, gave this information. She told that the committee has decided that definitions will be taught to the first year students in Hindi, but the technical terminology related to medical science will be explained in English. Giving an example, she told that the intestine will be called intestine and its details will be given in Hindi. Such words will also be written in English in books.
Studies in Hindi will begin on the lines of Madhya Pradesh
Dr. Sinha said that in the medical colleges of Bihar, education will be imparted in Hindi on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. The education of medical science in Hindi has started for the first time in Madhya Pradesh. The team of the Health Department also went to Bhopal to know the model of Madhya Pradesh. After going to Bhopal, the team studied the education and books there and gathered information about the syllabus. After coming back from Bhopal, the team prepared a blueprint for the education of medicine in Hindi in Bihar. He said that the department will provide books in Hindi to the first year students.
Teachers will not face any problem
The principal says that teachers will not face any problem in teaching medical in Hindi. He said that even now, Hindi mixed teaching is done in the classes. The teachers explain in Hindi to the students who have difficulty in understanding English. The teachers said that the only difference will be that the books will also be in Hindi.
Option to take the exam in Hindi or English
Students studying in medical college will get the option of writing in Hindi or English or a combination of both. Principal Dr. Sinha said that students can answer in whichever language is convenient for them. Students will not suffer any loss if they give the exam in Hindi.
What is the Madhya Pradesh model?
Medical books were translated into Hindi in Madhya Pradesh. First of all, books on Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology were prepared in Hindi. A war room was set up in Madhya Pradesh for this. A cell was also formed for studies in Hindi. On the same lines, the work of translating first year books is going on in Bihar as well.
