There are going to be bumper recruitments of medical teachers and assistant professors in the state. More than two and a half thousand vacant posts of medical teachers in government medical colleges will be filled soon. The government has authorized the principals of all these government medical colleges for appointment.
At the same time, preparations have been started for recruitment to 1017 posts of Assistant Professor in the aided colleges of the state. The Directorate of Higher Education has sent a requisition to the newly formed Uttar Pradesh Education Service Commission for recruitment to these posts. Along with this, the Directorate has sent a requisition to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission for recruitment to 582 posts of Assistant Professor in government colleges.
The posts of medical teachers will be filled on contract basis through walk-in interviews. The shortage of faculty in medical colleges is a big issue. Recently, NMC has collected fines worth crores of rupees from government and non-government medical colleges of the state which did not fulfil the standards. The Directorate General had sent a proposal to the government to give the right to the principals of government allopathic medical colleges to fill the vacant posts on contract. The government has approved it. The Principal Secretary of the department, Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma, issued an order regarding this yesterday.
Now Yogi is the nodal officer for every project– Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that officers should hold meetings with public representatives every month regarding the progress of development projects. He asked to appoint a nodal officer for every project. These instructions were given during a review meeting of development works and law and order with officers and public representatives in the Annexe auditorium.
