More than 10 thousand students have taken admission in Delhi University within 48 hours of seat allocation. According to the university administration, students will be able to deposit the prescribed fee for admission till August 21.

DU had allotted 97 thousand 387 seats on Friday for undergraduate admission in the academic session 2023-24. Applicants were given time till 5 pm on Sunday to accept admission on these. The university administration said on Sunday that till 5 pm, a total of 83 thousand 678 students have accepted the allotment. Out of these, 10 thousand 16 students have taken admission. Also, there are two thousand 92 students who have ensured their seat by freezing the admission, while five thousand 609 students have opted for the upgrade option. According to the information released by DU, the second list of allotment for admission will be released after August 21.

Students are to be admitted to 71,600 seats in 69 colleges. In this, 1,559 programs and college combinations have been presented to the students. In the first phase of admission, 2 lakh 45 thousand 287 students had registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Out of these, 1 lakh 85 thousand 543 students had completed the second phase of CSAS by filling their preferences and combinations for courses and colleges.
