According to experts, admission will be done on 100-100 seats in both government medical colleges. As per last year, there are a total of 1490 MBBS and 140 BDS seats in the state. There are a total of 1630 government MBBS and BDS seats combined. In this, 15 percent seats are filled under All India quota. 85 percent seats are filled under state quota. With the increase of 200 MBBS seats, there will be a total of 1690 seats in the medical colleges of the state.

The seat verification process of the first counseling for admission under 15 percent quota will run from 14 to 16 August and the registration process will run from 14 August to 21 August. Admission will be done on 1206 MBBS and 115 dental seats at 85 percent marks
This time, there will be admission on 1321 seats in 12 government medical and 2 dental colleges, which have 85 percent of the state's MBBS and BDS together. There are 1206 seats for MBBS and 115 for dental. On the other hand, there are 1050 seats for admission in private medical colleges. Students will do choice filling by visiting bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. BCECEB will release the date of choice filling soon. This time, 1321 seats for MBBS and BDS have been marked in government medical colleges, out of which 396 will be reserved for women.
There are more than one lakh MBBS seats across the country
This time there will be admission on more than 1.13 lakh MBBS seats. Currently there are 706 medical colleges in the country. There are 1,08,915 MBBS seats in these. Last year more than 10,000 medical seats were increased. This time also more than five thousand seats will increase. The total number of medical colleges will be around 750. There are both government and private medical colleges in it. All the colleges will get the Letter of Permission (ELOP) before July 2024. After the May 5, 2024 examination, the admission process will start from July. After the opening of new medical colleges, the total number of medical colleges will also be around 750. There will be more contenders for government seats.
