Kavya Dhakad, resident of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, was afraid of failing in the medical entrance exam NEET due to lack of preparation, so she resorted to shortcuts. He and his friend Harshit were brought from Indore in MP to Kota in Rajasthan on Wednesday for questioning in the case.

Madhya Pradesh Police on Tuesday detected that the two people, who were missing for more than 15 days, were in Indore and handed them over to Rajasthan Police, police said. According to the police, Kavya told the police that she planned her fake kidnapping after watching a video on YouTube. Police said that Kavya's father Raghuveer Dhakad lodged a complaint at Vigyan Nagar police station in Kota on March 18 alleging kidnapping of his daughter, after which a search was started for her. Kota (City) Superintendent of Police Amrita Duhan said that during interrogation it was revealed that Kavya had come to Kota with her mother on August 2, 2023, who returned after enrolling her in a coaching class and making arrangements for her stay in a hostel. Gone.

Police said that Kavya stayed here for only three days and went to Indore where she was living with two of her friends. Duhan said that she kept sending photos and messages to her parents to assure them that she was in Kota. He told that her parents, living in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, were shocked recently when they received a ransom call of Rs 30 lakh and found photographs of their daughter with her hands and feet tied. After this Raghuveer lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the SP, during interrogation, Kavya told the police that she felt that she would not be able to pass the medical entrance exam NEET which would upset her parents. Kavya told that she was under a lot of tension due to lack of preparation for NEET exam. His family wanted him to become a doctor. So, with the help of his friend Harshit, he fabricated a false story of his kidnapping in Indore so that he could get money to go to Russia to study medicine as MBBS. He planned to return to India only after completing his higher education.

Satish Chaudhary, area officer of Vigyan Nagar police station, said that the police is taking legal advice on taking action against the two for fabricating a false story of kidnapping and in the meantime they have been kept in police custody.

The search of about 15 days ended on Tuesday night.
After a search operation that lasted for about two weeks by Indore and Kota police, Kavya was caught along with her friend Harshit from Indore on Tuesday night. He was handed over to Kota police at 5 am on Wednesday morning.
The police came into action after the father lodged the kidnapping report. During investigation he found that the last location of Kavya's mobile SIM was Indore. By the time Kota and Indore police reached the room where Kavya was staying with her friend, both of them had fled from there. But the police got CCTV footage from there in which Kavya was coming out of the house with her friend. After this it took 15 days to track them. According to the report, during this period, Kavya also spent 6 days in Amritsar. They stayed for 6 days at the Golden Temple Gurudwara where they had food in langar. After this he came back to Indore and started living in a rented room.
