The petition regarding postponement of NEET MDS exam was heard in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The Supreme Court has put the ball in the Centre's court in this matter. The court has said that any decision regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test of Masters in Dental Surgery examination should be taken by the Centre. The judges in the bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said to wait for some time, the government is looking into this matter. The court has expressed its difficulty in increasing the cutoff and said that it would be better if the Center itself takes a decision in this matter. Let us tell you that the date of March 18 was fixed for conducting this examination. Earlier applications were taken till 19 February.
What did the Supreme Court bench say?
On the petition related to postponement of NEET MDS 2024 exam, the bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala has said that the Central Government should intervene to resolve the matter. He has also said that this matter should be resolved within a week. We are not giving any opinion on this, the Center itself should give its opinion on this.

Let us tell you that actually the students had filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding NEET MDS that the NEET MDS exam should be postponed till July, apart from this it was also said that the cutoff date of internship of this exam should also be increased. Due to completion of internship, about 25000 such students will not be able to appear in the exam. Because the last date of internship in medical and data is about to be completed by NMC.
