NEET-PG Postponed: The entrance exam to be held on Sunday for admission to PG medical seats in medical colleges across the country was suddenly postponed on Saturday night. More than two lakh applicants have been affected by this decision. Students who came to Delhi from different cities to take the exam have also expressed anger.

Many students who dream of getting admission in PG after MBBS said that they had booked expensive flights when they could not get train tickets. Some had come with their children while others had brought other family members. Everyone is upset due to the cancellation of the exam.

Dr Akanksha, a resident of Bhagalpur in Bihar, said that she had booked a flight ticket from Patna to Delhi. She reached Delhi on Saturday evening and went to her room in the hotel.

At that time, she came to know through social media that the exam has been postponed. At first, she thought it was fake news, but later she came to know that it was true. Akanksha says that she had chosen the centre in the country's capital only because of the fear of paper leak. Both her money and time have been wasted in this whole episode.

Similarly, Neena Sharma came to Delhi from Meerut a day before the exam. She is the mother of a small child. Due to this, she had to bring her husband and child along in the heat. She had booked a room in a hotel in South Delhi near the examination center, but was shocked to hear the news of the postponement of the exam. She said that she works in a private hospital. She had also taken coaching for the exam and had taken a week's leave from the private hospital. So now she will have to come again for the exam.

Student Shubham Anand said that the centre informing them about the exam at the last minute caused a lot of inconvenience. If there was to be a reschedule, they should have announced it at least a few days in advance. He said that the exam centres were not distributed properly. Candidates got far-flung places at the exam centres. Students from Jaipur and Patna had centres in Delhi and then when they reached there, the exam was postponed. Everyone is facing a lot of trouble. Who will compensate for the money and time spent by them?
