NEET UG 2024 Results: After 67 candidates topped NEET and scored 720 out of 720 marks, the demand for cancellation of NEET exam has gained momentum on social media. Many students again claimed irregularities, doubts and paper leak in the exam. People tweeted heavily on social media with the hashtag #Neet_paper_Rad_Kand_Karo. Some students, exam experts and coaching operators said that many students have scored 719 and 718 marks in NEET exam, which is impossible, this strengthens the suspicion of irregularities in the exam. These students argued that the NEET paper is of 720 marks. Each question is of four marks and there is negative marking of one mark on the wrong answer. If a student answers all the questions correctly, then he gets 720 out of 720 and if he leaves one question, he will get 716 marks. On the other hand, if he answers one question wrong, then he will be left with 715 marks. In such a situation, it is impossible to get 718 and 719 marks. Student Vishakha Suman is getting 719 marks and student Yash Kataria is getting 718 marks. Both of their names are in the NTA list.

NTA gave clarification on getting 718 and 719 marks
The National Testing Agency has also issued a clarification on this. NTA has said that the time of many students was wasted during the examination held on May 5. Students had complained to NTA about the time loss. Keeping in mind the complaints of the students and the court cases related to it, grace marks were given to the candidates as compensation. During this, the normalization formula was applied for some candidates, which was prepared to deal with the situation of time loss after the Supreme Court's decision on June 13, 2018. Due to giving grace marks, their marks have come to 718 or 719.
