NEET UG counselling 2024: The NEET UG counselling process will begin in the third week of July. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET UG counselling 2024 in four rounds. The central government has given this information in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court along with the report of IIT Madras on the medical entrance exam NEET result. The government has said that if any candidate is found involved in any kind of fraud, he will be excluded from the counselling process. His candidature will be cancelled not only during the counselling but also after that.
Explaining the NEET UG counselling 2024 process, the Centre said that students will be allowed to change seats as per the preferences chosen by them in the first and second rounds. In such a situation, if seats are cancelled before the third round, it will not have any effect on the overall counselling and seat allotment. The third round of NEET counselling is expected to begin in the second week of September. Even if the candidature is cancelled after the third round, the vacant seats can be offered in subsequent rounds. However, candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round will not be able to participate in the subsequent rounds.
In the third case, if any candidature is cancelled after the fourth and final round, the vacant seats will be filled through an additional round based on the approval of the Supreme Court. The detailed schedule of NEET UG counselling will be released on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in.
