Meanwhile, during the debate in the Supreme Court, the advocate of the Government of India i.e. Solicitor General also announced the NEET counseling date.

The apex court on Thursday ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the marks of all the students who appeared for NEET, center-wise and city-wise, online by 12 noon on Saturday. Now the matter will be heard on Monday.

Earlier, while explaining the NEET UG counselling 2024 process, the Centre had said that students will be allowed to change seats as per the preferences chosen by them in the first and second rounds. In such a situation, if seats are cancelled before the third round, it will not have any impact on the overall counselling and seat allotment. The third round of NEET counselling is expected to begin in the second week of September.

After the hearing, the petitioner's lawyer Narendra Hooda said, “We raised all the things in the Supreme Court which indicate that the paper has been leaked. The paper has been leaked not only in Hazaribagh and Patna, but also in other places. The court has fixed the next date of hearing on Monday and has directed the Bihar Police and the Government of India to bring the preliminary investigation report of the Bihar Police on record.
