NEET UG Paper : Many changes are expected regarding the NEET UG entrance test. It is believed that the government is preparing to convert the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate i.e. NEET UG exam into a two-tier exam system. The special thing will be that the NEET UG test can be conducted in hybrid mode. Many changes are likely to be made regarding converting the NEET UG exam into a two-tier test.
Is the government preparing for 2 big changes?
Discussion is going on to conduct the NEET UG exam in two tier exams i.e. Preliminary Test and Finals. It is believed that the cut off will be decided on the basis of the prelims score and the number of seats. Along with this, three to four times more number of eligible students can be selected for the finals than the number of seats. It is also being discussed that the finals may be conducted in CBT mode i.e. Computer Based Test mode while the prelims will be conducted in pen and paper mode only. At the same time, it is being considered to appoint different agencies for both the prelims and finance stages of the NEET UG exam. For example, if the prelims will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), then the finals can also be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), National Board of Examination, or All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS).
Emphasis is being laid on increasing security regarding the paper so that no one can cheat in the paper in any way or any case of paper leak does not come to light.
NEET is a common entrance test through which students can take admission in MBBS and BDS courses. This entrance test was first organized by CBSE in 2016. Since then, many things have come to light regarding paper leak.
