Noida School Closed: This order will apply to schools of UP Board, CBSE, and all other boards. The decision has been taken to protect children from cold waves and winds.
Noida School Holidays: Schools will remain shut in Noida starting today, January 3, 2025, due to a cold wave, Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has announced. Keeping in mind the increasing cold and dense fog, an order has been issued to close all schools from nursery to class 8 in the district.
This order will apply to schools of UP Board, CBSE, and all other boards. The decision has been taken to protect children from cold waves and winds. The DM has said in the order that this decision has been taken giving priority to the safety and health of the students.
Due to cold and fog, it becomes challenging for children to come to school in the morning. Thus, schools will remain completely closed till further orders. The administration has instructed all school management to follow the order and ensure the safety of the students. Check the official notice here:
The minimum temperature in Noida on Thursday morning was 9 degrees and the maximum temperature was 25 degrees. The current AQI in Noida is 170.

On December 29, a sudden drop in temperature was observed. The DM of Meerut and Baghpat districts had announced a holiday in schools up to class 8 till December 31, 2024. Schools in Muzaffarnagar were ordered to remain closed on December 30, 2024.
Winter vacation starts in most states by the last week of December. Holidays have been declared across schools in Delhi from January 1 to 15, 2025. However, due to rain, many schools have been closed since Christmas while some schools have opted for online classes.
In January 2025, apart from the winter vacation, there will be only two days of holiday. Schools will remain closed on January 17, 2025 (Friday) on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. Schools also remain closed on Republic Day on January 26, however, this year, it falls on Sunday.
