Paper leak cases: The result of NEET UG exam for admission in medical colleges across the country was released on June 4. In which 67 candidates were given the first rank. After the release of the result, protests are going on across the country and it is being said that the question paper was leaked even before the examination started. 1- Paper leak cases in the year 2024
– This year on February 17 and 18, UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam was conducted for 60,244 posts. More than 43 lakh candidates participated in it, but the exam was canceled due to paper leak. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the cancellation of the paper and said that the exam will be conducted within 6 months. Now the candidates are eagerly waiting for the re-examination date.
– The paper of UPPSC Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Exam-2023 was leaked. The exam was conducted on 11 February 2024 at 2387 centers in 58 districts of Uttar Pradesh for a total of 411 posts, 334 for RO and 77 for ARO. In which 64 percent of the 1076004 candidates registered for the exam appeared. The RO/ARO exam was canceled due to paper leak.
– UGC NET exam was conducted on 18 June 2024. Which was canceled on 19 June.
2- Papers were leaked here in 2023
– The Hindi question paper of Telangana Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam was out. The question paper was circulated on WhatsApp.
– A paper leak was again detected during the Assistant Engineer Recruitment Exam in Telangana. Due to which the exam was canceled on March 5 in the year 2023.
– During the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination in Assam, papers of two subjects were leaked. At that time, question papers of General Science and English paper were leaked, after which the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) was forced to cancel the examination.
– Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Mathematics paper of a private college in Maharashtra was also leaked. The paper was shared on WhatsApp. During that time, the board caught 5 students using their mobile phones.
– In the year 2023, the paper of Rajasthan Elementary Teachers Eligibility (REET) exam was also leaked. Rajasthan Police had arrested many people in this case, including students.
3- Paper leak case in the year 2022
– Forest Guard recruitment exam in Rajasthan was leaked on social media.
– Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had cancelled the 67th Combined Preliminary Examination (PT) exam on May 8, 2022 after allegations of paper leak. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) had arrested several accused including the mastermind in the case.
– Earlier this year, Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) cancelled the Junior Engineer (JE) civil main written exam as the exam was leaked. The paper leak was confirmed by the police.
4- Paper leak case in the year 2021
– This year the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) paper was leaked. The UP government had said that the paper was leaked on WhatsApp. The mastermind of which has been caught.
– Recruitment exam for 14 engineering and other posts of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority was cancelled after the exam was leaked.
– This year too, the NEET exam was conducted amid controversy of exam leak after the question paper was found on social media about half an hour before the start of the exam.
5- Paper leak case in the year 2020
– During PU exams in Karnataka, the first three pages of the Physics paper question paper were seen online within hours of the exam starting. Bangalore University too postponed final year B.Com exams after authorities discovered the paper leak.
– This year, UP Board Class 12 English paper was also leaked, which went viral online 2 hours before the exam.
6- Paper leak cases in the year 2019
– Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) computer-based test (CBT) paper was allegedly leaked and screen-shots were shared on social media, following which the police took action and registered a case against the accused.
– In Odisha, police arrested five school teachers after the Mother India Language (MIL) paper of the Secondary Education Board (BSE) exam went viral on social media before the exam.
7- Paper leak cases in the year 2018
– CBSE Mathematics and Economics exam for class 10th and 12th was leaked. After which the exam was conducted again.
– This year, the paper of Gujarat Police Constable Recruitment Exam was also leaked.
8- Paper leak in the year 2017
– Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam paper was leaked in March.
Paper leak case in 2016
– In the year 2016, the Review Officer (RO)/Assistant Review Officer (ARO) exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) was cancelled after its paper was leaked at a centre in Lucknow.
– In the year 2016, UPPSC's Provincial Civil Service Examination or PCS was also cancelled. The question paper of the second shift was distributed in the first shift at one centre, due to which the paper was cancelled.
9- Paper leak case in the year 2015
– Before the introduction of NEET, different exams were conducted across India for admission to medical courses. One such exam which was conducted by CBSE, called All India-Pre Medical Test i.e. AIMPT, created a big controversy in 2015. At that time when the paper leak was investigated, it was found that the question paper and answer key were circulated through electronic devices in 10 states. After which the medical entrance exam was cancelled.
10- Paper leak case in 2014
– In 2014, another general medical exam known as the Combined Pre-Medical Test or CPMT was cancelled after boxes of question papers were found to have been tampered with.
