There is good news for the candidates who wish to do PhD from Allahabad University. This time, the highest number of 1182 seats will be filled for research as compared to the last six years. Out of these, 764 seats will be filled in the main campus of the university and the remaining 418 seats will be filled in the ten constituent colleges of Allahabad University. Students who get admission in the main campus through the Joint Research Entrance Examination (CRET-2024) get a fellowship of Rs 8,000 per month. This fellowship is provided to each researcher for four years. But college researchers do not get fellowship. This time, a maximum of 65% researchers will get fellowship.
Online applications for the Joint Research Entrance Examination have started from July 19. The last date for application has been fixed as August 12. This time research will be done in 44 subjects in IVV and college. According to the information released by Prof. JK Pati, Director of Admission Cell, till 5 pm on Friday, 1201 candidates have applied for CRET 2024. At the same time, 474 have deposited the fee and finally submitted the form.
PhD started in colleges in 2019
PhD started in the ten constituent colleges of IVV from the year 2019. After this, there was a rapid increase in the seats of PhD. PhD admissions were taken against 574 seats in CRET 2019, 625 in CRET 2020, 614 in CRET 2021, 734 in CRET 2022, 1148 seats in CRET 2023. In CRET 2024, admission will be done on the maximum number of 1182 seats.
