West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has invited applications for 3734 constable posts in Kolkata Police. There will be recruitment in both male and female constable categories. Among the vacant posts, there are 3464 vacancies for constable while 270 for lady constable. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply by visiting prb.wb.gov.in till March 1, 2024. The last date for application has been fixed as March 29. The amendment in the application has been fixed for 7th April 2024.
Qualification – 10th pass.
Age Limit – 18 years to 30 years. Age will be calculated from January 1, 2024. In the maximum age limit, SC, ST category candidates will get five years relaxation and OBC-A and OBC class B candidates will get three years relaxation.

Male – Length 167 cm, Chest – 78 cm. 83 cm when inflated. 5 cm chest expansion required.
Female – Length 160 cm.
Selection – First of all there will be prelims written examination. Those who pass it will have to give a physical test (physical efficiency test and physical measurement test). After giving the physical test, there will be the main written examination. Those who pass it will be called for interview.
In the physical test, you will have to run 1600 meters in 6.30 minutes. Women will have to run 800 meters in 4 minutes.

Application fee
All categories except SC/ST (of West Bengal only) have to pay Rs 170 as application fee, SC/ST category candidates of West Bengal have to pay Rs 20. SC/ST candidates from other states will not get any relaxation in fee.
