Police Sub Inspector Recruitment Exam may be postponed due to UPSC Mains, know what the minister said, Career News

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said he would seek information from the concerned authorities on the coinciding dates of the UPSC civil services exam and police sub-inspector recruitment exam scheduled for September 22. He said in Bengaluru that the state government had announced the date of the PSI exam before the Union Public Service Commission, but this point would be considered.

Parmeshwar said, “We will see. We will review it. We have already announced the date. If there is a possibility or if we get more memoranda (from candidates), then we can consider it (postponing the PSI exam).”

The minister further said that exams cannot always be postponed on the pretext of clash of dates with other exams. He said, 'Everything was going very smoothly. Earlier when I was the home minister, thousands of people were recruited (in the police department) without any hindrance, but this time there were hiccups like the PSI scam and delay in conducting the exam.'
