Rajasthan PTET: This year, very less applications have been received for Rajasthan PTET as compared to last year. The last date of application for PTET entrance examination for admission to 2-year B.Ed and 4-year Integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed courses in Rajasthan for the session 2024-25 was 6th May. After this, an opportunity was given to correct errors in the form from May 7 to May 9. According to reports, 4.27 lakh youth have applied for PTET 2024 whereas last year 5.21 lakh applications were received. It is being told that due to non-completion of UG examinations in the state, the number of applications has decreased. This year the responsibility of conducting PTET has been given to Vardhaman Mahavir Open University, Kota. Whereas last year it was handed over to Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara. Through PTET examination, two-year B.Ed course and 4-year BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed course are conducted in all the government and private teacher training colleges of the state.

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University Kota will conduct the PTET examination for the year 2024 on June 9. The admit card of the exam (Rajasthan PTET Admit Card 2024) is expected to be released about a week in advance. That means it will be released in the first week of June. Through online counselling, candidates will be allotted B.Ed college as per merit.

PTET will be an offline exam. There will be objective type multiple choice questions. All answers have to be filled in the OMR sheet. It will have four sections – Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test, General Awareness and Language Proficiency. Every question will be of 3 marks. The total paper will be of 600 marks.

Candidates from outside Rajasthan will be considered as general category. In B.Ed seats, there will be 16 percent reservation for SC category, 12 percent for ST, 21 percent for OBC, 10 percent for EWS, 5 percent for MBC, 5 percent for disabled. Women (8 percent seats in this will be for widow category women and 2 percent seats for divorcee category women) as per the rules of the state government.
