The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has begun the registration process for the 2024 Class 10 and Class 12 compartment examinations. All the students re-appearing for the exams can apply online through the official website of the board at pseb.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form and deposit the application fee is May 25. Additionally, students will also be able to apply after May 25 by paying a late fee of Rs 1000 till June 7, 2024. Candidates can also submit the application forms. by visiting the regional office till June 12. The Punjab Board is expected to announce the 2024 compartment exam date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 soon.
Students who failed in one or two subjects in the Punjab Board Class 10 and Class 12 exams this year have to re-appear for the compartment exams. Matric students reappearing for the exam will have to deposit a fee of Rs 1,350 (Rs 1,150 for the compartment and Rs 200 for additional subject exams). For Class 12 students, the fee is Rs 1,750 (Rs 1,500 for the compartment and Rs 250 for additional subject exam) which also includes a hard copy fee of the certificate.
Punjab Board Result 2024: How to apply for the compartment exam?
Step 1: Students need to visit the official website of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) at pseb.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look out for the 'Punjab Board Compartment Exam' or something similar and click on it.
Step 3: A new login page will appear on the screen. Enter your credentials and click on submit.
Step 4: The application form will appear. Fill in all the information and click on proceed.
Step 5: After filling the form, complete the application process by depositing the fee.
Step 6: Download the form and take a printout on an A4-sized sheet of paper for future reference.
This year, the Punjab Board declared the Class 10 and Class 12 results on April 30. The overall passing percentage of Class 10 stood at 97.24 per cent. Among them, girls outshone boys with 98.11 per cent, while boys achieved 96.47 passing percentage. The overall passing percentage of PSEB Class 12 exams was recorded at 93.04 per cent.
