Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Bharti 2024: The recruitment of Safai Karmacharis for 24,797 posts in Rajasthan may be canceled. It is being told that the Department of Autonomous Governance will now take out a fresh recruitment. After this decision of the Bhajanlal government, the strike of Safai Karmacharis going on for 12 days is likely to end. More than 9 lakh 20 thousand applications were received across the state for this recruitment. There were also a large number of youth from non-Valmiki community among the applicants. The Valmiki community had launched an agitation demanding priority in Safai Karamchari recruitment. Due to their strike, the sanitation system of the entire state had become worse. According to the report, after the demand of the Valmiki community, the state government has started preparations to change the recruitment process.

According to the news of Dainik Bhaskar, by Monday, official orders will be issued to cancel the recruitment of Safai Karamcharis on 24,797 posts. Let us tell you that during the previous Gehlot government, a notification for Safai Karamchari recruitment was issued, for which 920442 applications were received. But due to the imposition of code of conduct, the recruitment process could not be completed. After this, the new BJP government of the state once again started the recruitment process and sought applications from the youth. According to the new notification, the candidates are to be selected by lottery in which three times the number of candidates than the vacancies will be selected. After this, there will be a practical test for 3 months, that is, cleaning will have to be demonstrated.

Nandkishore Dandoria, president of the Joint Valmiki and Safai Shramik Union, has said that the Valmiki community is protesting in a Gandhian way for its legitimate demands. We will not end the strike until the government fulfills all our demands.

Rajasthan's Minister of State for Autonomous Governance Jhabar Singh Kharra had told the Assembly last month that the rules for the recruitment of sanitation workers have been amended from time to time. Rules were made in 2012 for the recruitment of sanitation workers, in which two years of experience in municipal bodies was kept as the qualification. After this, on April 11, 2018, the experience was again amended to one year instead of two years and provision of two children was added. By changing the rules, private institute or personal experience certificate was also recognized in the recruitment. He told that in the original rules there was a provision for recruitment through examination and interview. After this, provision for recruitment through lottery was made on 23 January 2023. After that, provision for practical examination was also added on June 8.
