This time, record breaking applications have come in the 12th level Common Eligibility Test (CET) of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. RSMSSB has said that this time 18,63,082 candidates have applied for CET Senior Secondary Level. October 1, 2024 was the last date to fill the form. Last year, 16 lakh had applied for the 12th level CET exam but only 12 lakh appeared on the exam day. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board Chairman Alok Raj gave this information. He said that it is expected that this time, like the CET graduates, the candidates will also register their presence enthusiastically in the 12th level CET to be held on 22, 23, 24 October.
This will be an eligibility test for recruitment to a total of 12 categories of posts in different departments. That means, the one who scores 40 percent marks in CET will be able to appear in the recruitment examinations for these posts.
These recruitments will be done through CET
1. Rajasthan Forest Subordinate Service – Forester
2. Rajasthan Minority Affairs Subordinate Service – Hostel Superintendent
3. Rajasthan Secretariat Clerical Service – Clerk Grade II
4. Rajasthan Subordinate Office Clerical Service – Junior Assistant
5. RPSC Clerical Service – Clerical Grade – II
6. Rajasthan Excise Subordinate Service (Preventive Branch) – Jamadar Grade – II
7. Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service – Constable
8. Rajasthan Panchayati Raj – Junior Assistant
9. Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board (Service) – Junior Assistant
10. Rajasthan Agricultural Produce Market (Mandi Committee Employees) Service – Junior Assistant
11. Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan Staff (Revision) – Clerk Grade – II
12. Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board Staff Service – Junior Assistant
Big change in dress code
The selection board has also changed the dress code in its recruitment examinations including CET. Now candidates will be able to take the exam wearing a full sleeve shirt. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has made it clear that now the shirt sleeves of the candidates will not be cut. Wearing of full sleeve shirt will be allowed but the shirt should be plain buttoned. Only metallic items will be banned at the examination centres. Metal shirt buttons will not be allowed.
Let us also tell you that the provision of negative marking in CET has been removed. Apart from this, now candidates who have scored 40 percent marks in CET will also be able to appear in the recruitment examinations for government services. Till now, candidates were shortlisted for the main examination with 15 times the number of vacancies available in various recruitment examinations. Lakhs of unemployed candidates were being deprived of recruitment due to the provision of taking 15 times the number of candidates in Rajasthan CET. Till now, in any recruitment, only 15 times the number of applications were sought from the candidates and they kept getting the opportunity again and again in other recruitments also.
