NEET UG counseling process is going on for admission in MBBS and BDS courses. Meanwhile, MCC i.e. Medical Counseling Committee has given permission to those NEET UG candidates who were allotted seats in counseling round 1 and round 2, to leave their seats. MCC is issuing notice that medical candidates can resign their seats till 1st October. The counseling committee has taken this decision after considering the continuous requests coming from many students.
“For the information of all candidates, it is informed that requests are being received from UG candidates who wish to give up their Round-1 or Round-2 seats due to various reasons,” MCC said in the official notice. In this regard the competent authority has decided to allow resignation for such candidates. Candidates who wish to leave their Round-1 or Round-2 seats can do so till 5 pm on October 01, 2024.
MCC issued guidelines regarding vacating the seat-
– Candidates of Round 1 who were not upgraded to Round 2 can leave their seats within the due date of leaving the seat without forfeiting the security amount.
– Those candidates of Round 2 who were allotted seat and also joined the seat, but now they want to leave the seat, they will be able to vacate their seat by forfeiting the security within the time limit.
– Those candidates who got upgraded in Round 2 and joined the upgraded seat, but now want to vacate their seat, can vacate their seat by forfeiting the security amount.
-Candidates have to physically report at the allotted college to vacate their seats.
Candidates are advised to ensure that their resignation letter renouncing their seat is prepared online (from MCC portal) by the allotted college, failing which the resignation letter will be considered invalid.
MCC NEET UG Round 2 seat allotment result came on September 19. The last date to report in allotted colleges is 27th September. The counseling schedule was revised after the addition of new MBBS and BDS seats in the seat matrix.
