Three big changes
1. Many rules have been changed in the CET exam this time. For the first time, provision of negative marking has been made in this eligibility test. This has happened for the first time in any eligibility test of the state. Before this, there has been no negative marking in any eligibility test. There is no negative marking in any eligibility test like REET, PTET, BSTC, SET, NET etc.
2. This time in the Common Entrance Test, 5 options will be given for each question instead of 4. In case the candidates are unable to answer any question, it will be necessary for them to fill the fifth option. One-third marks will be deducted for giving the wrong answer to any question.
3. Now candidates securing 40% marks in CET will also be able to appear in recruitment exams for government services. Till now, 15 times the number of vacancies available in various recruitment exams were shortlisted for the main exam. Due to the provision of taking 15 times the number of candidates in Rajasthan CET, lakhs of unemployed candidates are being deprived of recruitment. Till now, applications were sought from only 15 times the number of candidates in any recruitment and they kept getting opportunities in other recruitments again and again.
The rule of passing the CET exam with 40% marks will provide great relief to the candidates preparing for government jobs. Lakhs of candidates of the state were demanding this for a long time. SC-ST candidates have been given a relaxation of 5% in this.
