UPSC Exam: If you are preparing for the civil service examination, then there is good news for you. The Jharkhand government has launched a new financial assistance scheme. Under this scheme, SC/ST category students who pass the Civil Services Preliminary Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be given an assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the preparation of the mains exam and interview.
Announcing the scheme, Alina Das, an official of the District Information and Public Relations Office (Gumla), said that the financial assistance is part of the “Mukhyamantri ST/SC Civil Service Incentive Scheme”, reports News18. The aim of this assistance is to empower eligible candidates by providing them crucial financial support at a crucial stage of their career aspirations.
Know- which students of Scheduled Tribe / Scheduled Caste will get the benefit of this assistance
– Applicants must have intermediate and undergraduate degree from Jharkhand
They must have passed the exam. Also, they must belong to the Scheduled Tribe / Scheduled Caste category of the state.
– The income of the entire family should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh per year. If this is the case, then the student will not be able to avail this assistance.
– Each candidate can avail the benefit of this scheme only once.
-Candidates who have already availed free coaching assistance from the State Government for Civil Services Examinations will be considered ineligible for this assistance.
Where and how to apply to avail the assistance
Interested candidates can apply online at www.jharhand.gov.in and www.jstcdc.org.in till the last date i.e. 2nd August 2024 at 6 PM. Application forms submitted after the due date will not be considered.
These certificates will be needed
Students of SC, ST category who want to get this assistance, will have to submit some necessary certificates while filling the application form. Which are as follows.
– Jharkhand Resident Certificate
– Cast Certificate
– Income Certificate
– UPSC Preliminary Exam Admit Card
– Whether you have passed the UPSC preliminary examination or not. Proof of that will have to be shown.
– Along with this, when asked for, self-attached copies of all these certificates will have to be submitted.
Candidates have to submit the filled application form to the Tribal Welfare Commissioner Office, Kalyan Complex, 2nd Floor, Balihar Road, Morhabadi, Ranchi-834008, Jharkhand. Candidates can also send the application form through speed post.
