The online examination of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 was completed on Thursday. 70.40 percent candidates were present in the examination which lasted for 13 days. That means about 30 percent candidates left the exam. 97 centers were set up in 19 cities of UP and Bihar. 46,47,646 candidates from across the country had applied for recruitment to 26,146 posts of constable under CAPF. One each from Aligarh, Arrah, Darbhanga, Moradabad, two each from Bhagalpur, Gaya, Jhansi, Muzaffarnagar, Purnia, three from Bareilly, four each from Gorakhpur, Meerut, five from Muzaffarpur, seven from Agra, nine from Prayagraj, The examination was conducted in 10 centers of Kanpur, 12 of Lucknow and 14 of Varanasi.
Let us tell you that 15,20,063 candidates were to appear in the computer based SSC GD Constable examination in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. 11,18,823 candidates were registered in UP and 4,01,240 candidates were registered in Bihar.
How many posts are vacant in which force?
Of the total vacant posts, there are 6174 posts of BSF, 11025 of CISF, 3337 of CRPF, 635 of SSB, 3189 of ITBP, 1490 of Assam Rifles, 296 of SSF. There are a total of 23347 posts for men and a total of 2799 for women. 9626 posts among men and 1183 posts among women are unreserved. Among men, 3334 posts are reserved for SC, 2354 ST, 4776 OBC, 3257 posts are reserved for EWS category. Whereas among women, 408 posts are reserved for SC, 248 posts for ST, 584 OBC, 376 for EWS.
Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). Those who pass PET PST will be called for medical and document verification. The final merit list will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. PET PST will be merely qualifying. Only passing in PET and PST will be required.
