SSC MTS Vacancy 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havildar (Central Bureau of Indirect Taxes and Customs and Central Bureau of Narcotics) Exam 2024. Applications have started. A total of 8326 vacancies have been released. There are 4887 vacancies for MTS and 3439 for Havildar. Online applications for MTS 2024 will be accepted till July 31 and preparations are being made to conduct computer based examination in October-November.
It is worth noting that 26,09,777 candidates from all over the country were in the fray for 1773 posts of MTS 2023. Applications for Stenographer Grade C and D Exam 2024 are expected to start from July 26 next month. Earlier, applications for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2024 started from 24 June.
Through MTS recruitment, various departments of the Central Government recruit people for the posts of peon, chowkidar, jamadar, gardener, gatekeeper etc. Along with this, recruitment will be done for the posts of havildar in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN).
Educational Qualification:- For both the posts- 10th Pass.

MTS Salary – Pay Level-1 as per 7th Pay Commission
Havildar Salary – Pay Level-1, As per 7th Pay Commission
Age Range
MTS – 18-25 years. Havildar – 18-27 years. SC and ST category candidates will be given five years relaxation in the maximum age limit and OBC will be given three years relaxation. Age will be calculated from 1 July 2024.
Application fee- Rs 100
There is no fee for women, SC and ST categories.
Selection Process for Havildar Post (Based on last recruitment)
– Computer Based Written Test, Physical Test, Physical Standard Test.
– Height of male for Havildar post – 157.5 cm.
– Height of woman- 152 cm. And minimum weight should be 48 kg.
– Chest of men – 81 cms. 5 cms expansion extra.
Rules for Physical Efficiency Test for Havildar
Men: Have to walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
Women- 1 Km race in 20 minutes.
What was the final cutoff of the last MTS Havildar recruitment
In the last recruitment, the OBC cutoff for the post of Havildar in Jaipur reached 155.54969. Whereas the paper was of 150 marks. This happened due to the implementation of the normalization method.
