Board examinations are going on in many states, in which candidates are advised to reach the examination center on time. Whereas in the class 12th (Inter Second Year) examination conducted by Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TBSIE), a student could not reach the examination center on time, after which the student committed suicide.
According to the report of news agency PTI, the police who reached the spot said that an Intermediate Second Year student, who could not reach the examination center on time on the day of the examination, had committed suicide in an irrigation project in Adilabad district on Thursday (29 February 2024). Allegedly committed suicide by jumping. He said that the 17-year-old student, resident of Mangurla village in the district, had to appear in a paper during the intermediate examination and had reached Adilabad city at 9.15 am.
However, the students who had to appear in the examination were given time till 8.30 am to reach the examination hall and sit in their seats. The exam was to be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. Police further said that the student left the school for her village around 9.30 am, but while returning home, she allegedly ended her life by jumping into the irrigation project.
Police were asked, was the student denied entry into the examination hall because of coming late? On this the police said that the student had not gone to the examination center because he had reached Adilabad late. Police said the body has been recovered and a suicide note purportedly written by the student said that he took the step because he was late for the exam and was not going to appear for the exam for the first time in his life. Had missed giving.
In the suicide note, the student expressed his deep grief to his father and reportedly apologized for not being able to do anything for him. Police have registered a case of suicide and investigation is ongoing.
