To make the youth technically competent, the government has now given the candidates the freedom to choose options for admission in government and private ITI. Under this, any candidate can voluntarily give the option of any district, institute and course of the state in the order of preference for group 'A' and 'B' government and private ITI.
In the earlier system, a maximum of three districts, six institutes and 10 trades could be given as options for admission in government ITI, while for private ITI this limit was up to a maximum of 25 institutes in three districts. Minister of State for Skill Development, Vocational Education and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Agarwal said that a new system has been set for the academic session 2024-25.
150 youth selected in campus drive
150 candidates were selected in the campus drive organized on Wednesday at the Government ITI located in Aliganj. Principal of ITI Raj Kumar Yadav inaugurated the campus drive. Placement Officer MA Khan told that trainees of various courses of ITI participated in the campus drive organized by Hero Motocorp Ltd. of Haridwar. The company offered a job with a salary of Rs. 22500 per month and other facilities.
