The police recruitment exam is being conducted on the fifth and final day on Saturday at 1,174 centers in 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Officials said that before the exam, senior administrative officials of the districts inspected the examination centers to take stock of the arrangements.
Officials said that strict security arrangements have been made to ensure fair examination. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board said that the police recruitment examination was conducted in two shifts on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August.
The police recruitment exam held on February 17 and 18 was cancelled following allegations of question paper leak.
It had become necessary to conduct fresh examinations to fill more than 60,000 police posts in the state.
Uttar Pradesh State Transport Corporation is providing free bus services to the candidates in various districts.
