The commission returned 3661 vacant posts of teachers
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has returned more than three and a half thousand (3661) vacant posts of Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) and Lecturer in 2427 government schools of the state to the Secondary Education Department. The Commission has given instructions to send online requisition before appointment on all vacant posts. Also, it has been asked to clarify the equivalence of educational qualification. It is clear that it will take time for LT grade and lecturer recruitment to start. The offline requisition for recruitment to 3341 LT grade and 320 lecturer posts was sent to the Commission by the Secondary Education Department two years ago, but the appointment process could not start due to lack of amendment in the rules for equivalence of educational qualification. According to sources, the proposal to amend the rules has been sent to the government and approval from the cabinet is expected soon.
