In which Animesh Pradhan, who graduated from NIT Rourkela, has achieved All India Rank 2 in his first attempt. You will be surprised to know that Animesh had prepared for his UPSC CSE without any coaching. He has topped this examination on the basis of self study. He lost his mother to cancer just a month before his final interview round. That time was very difficult for him. However, due to his dedication and determination, he secured second position in this examination.

While giving an interview to a media channel, Animesh had said, 'I started preparing for the Civil Services Examination in the year 2022 and initially used to study for 5 to 6 hours. At the same time, no coaching was taken for UPSC preparation.

Let us tell you, Animesh has been working in Indian Oil in Delhi for the last two and a half years and had prepared for UPSC along with the job. He said, I used to prepare for UPSC along with my job, there was always a shortage of time, hence I tried to study for five to six hours a day, although sometimes I could not study for that many hours. . Sometimes it would be five hours, sometimes it would be one or two hours.

While talking about the daily routine, Animesh said, whenever I got a little time in the day, I used to just study, whether I am traveling in a cab or going to office, then I would do five minutes of audio. Used to listen to the note book. I tried to keep studying in short breaks.

Animesh is a perfect example for those working UPSC aspirants who dream of becoming IAS, IPS, but are unable to prepare for the exam due to their job. Animesh has told that if time is used properly, you can be able to fulfill your dreams.

Animesh gave tips for working UPSC candidates

Animesh said, candidates who want to clear UPSC along with a job will have to make a strategy. The office should not be too far from home, so that it does not take much time during travel. On days when there is an office holiday, make good use of that holiday. You can do most of the studying before going to office, because sometimes you feel very tired after coming from office, in such a situation you are not able to study much.

Originally from Talcher town in Angul district of Odisha, Animesh Pradhan's educational journey started from Kendriya Vidyalaya in his hometown. Animesh later obtained his graduation degree in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology (NIR) Rourkela.
