UPSC has released the admit cards of the candidates for the Civil Services Main Examination 2024. Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in. The link to download the admit card will be available from 13 September to 29 September 2024. The Civil Services Main Examination is going to start from 20 September. UPSC Civil Services Main Examination will be conducted in two shifts daily on 20, 21, 22, 28 and 29 September 2024. The first shift examination will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift examination will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
14627 candidates who cleared the UPSC CSE prelims will appear in the mains exam. The prelims result was declared on July 1. 1056 vacancies will be filled in central government services and departments through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam.

There are 180 vacancies of IAS under UPSC CSE 2024, in which 73 posts are unreserved. 24 are reserved for SC, 13 for ST, 52 for OBC and 18 for EWS. At the same time, there are 150 vacancies of IPS, in which 60 posts are unreserved. 23 posts are reserved for SC, 10 for ST, 42 for OBC and 15 for EWS category. Talking about IFS, 55 posts will be filled under this service through CSE 2024. 23 posts are unreserved. 9 posts are reserved for SC, 5 for ST, 13 for OBC, 5 for EWS. Through UPSC examination (UPSC CSE Notification 2024), officers will be selected for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and other All India Services including Indian Police Service (IPS).
Those who pass the UPSC Mains reach the interview (personality test). The final merit list is prepared on the basis of performance in the interview and mains exam. The mains exam is of 1750 marks and the interview is of 275 marks.
