UPSC CSE Prelims 2024: Can I crack the UPSC exam? Can I prepare for the entire syllabus on time? What happens if I don't pass the exam? If you are preparing to give UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024 and such questions are coming to your mind again and again, then it is possible that you may become more stressed regarding the examination. However, it is a common experience for most of the aspirants preparing for India's most prestigious UPSC exam. However, a research has shown that the mild stress that occurs before examinations helps in concentrating in the examinations. But worrying too much about anything can also ruin your preparation goal. Therefore, it is very important that the candidates remain calm and continue their preparation as per earlier planning.

UPSC Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) 2024 is proposed to be held on 16 June 2024. That means the candidates have only two months left for this. In such a situation, it is important to prepare by keeping aside worries or any other kind of stress, for which some important tips are being given here which the candidates can adopt.

 

1- Do meditation for 45 minutes daily:
Meditation has proven beneficial for mental peace. Especially at a time when a person is under extreme stress. Doctors believe that by doing meditation once a day, positive effects are seen on the brain throughout the day. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Guwahati medical expert Dr Rituraj Borbora said that meditation can help students to remember information properly. He said, “When I was under stress during medical exams, I found it difficult to concentrate. That's why I started meditation and found that I was studying more peacefully.


2- Take a break in between and take a walk:
Sitting in the same position for hours is harmful for both your body and mind. To avoid excessive stress on themselves, candidates can take breaks in the garden of their home or the hostel park and take a walk for a while. Experts believe that breathing clean air and talking to people reduces stress.

3- Do light exercise to keep the mind under control:
Experts believe that for such preparation, doing light exercise in between, watching short comedy videos or TV shows can also be beneficial. Barsha Das, who became DSP in Assam government after doing APSC exam in 2022, said that such fun short breaks keep positive emotional control in the mind for a long time.
