UPSC CSE Success Story: UPSC Civil Services Examination is one of the toughest examinations and there is a belief that to crack this examination it is necessary to take coaching. Today we are going to tell you about a person who has achieved success in UPSC exam without coaching. We are talking about IPS officer Amrit Jain, who passed the UPSC exam four times. Let us know about them.
Amrit Jain is currently working on the post of ASP i.e. Assistant Superintendent of Police in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He is from Bhilwara, Rajasthan. He completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal and later studied from Czech Technical University. After completing his studies, he started his career in a private company in Hyderabad, but after some time of working, he realized that he should give the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Coming from an ordinary family, Amrit Jain took the UPSC exam in 2016 without any prior study. At that time he was confident in himself that there would be multiple choice questions in UPSC CSE Prelims, which he would be able to answer easily, but it did not happen and he failed in the examination.
After which Amrit Jain studied well for one year and then appeared in UPSC Prelims in the year 2017. However, this time he failed to pass the exam by 0.66 marks. After which Amrit understood that UPSC exam can be passed only with a right strategy. He corrected his mistakes and made a correct strategy. To strengthen his UPSC preparation, he had completed 140 mock tests. During the examination he used to read each question at least three times.
He had his eyes set on the UPSC CSE syllabus, because UPSC was constantly changing its pattern of CSE. He says, it becomes a little easier for the candidates who understand the UPSC syllabus well to pass this exam. Let us tell you, he had chosen Political Science as an optional subject for the UPSC exam.
Amrit Jain had given the UPSC exam for the third time in the year 2018 and this time his hard work paid off. He had passed the UPSC examination. Let us tell you, in the year 2018, he was kept in the reserve list, after which he joined the Indian Defense Accounts Service (IDAS). However, after this he took the UPSC exam three times consecutively and was successful all three times. He got 321st rank in 2019, 96th rank in 2020 and 179th rank in 2021. Let us tell you, he did not take any coaching to pass the UPSC exam.
After passing the UPSC exam four times, he got the post of IPS officer, but his dream of becoming an IAS was not fulfilled. In an interview given to a media channel, Amrit said, he has no regrets about not being able to become an IAS officer. He believes that while preparing for UPSC, everyone's aim is to become an IAS officer, but not everyone is able to achieve it. Passing the UPSC CSE exam is a big thing in itself.
