Yash Pratap Singh Chauhan, a Hindi medium student, has passed the Union Public Service Commission examination in the first attempt. Yash has got 571st rank in the result declared on Tuesday. Yash's father Ravi Sharan Singh Chauhan is the principal of Jai Narayan Inter College while mother Archana Chauhan is a housewife. Yash started his studies from Shishu Mandir. Passed class 10 examination from Draupadi Devi Vidya Mandir Inter College, Badaun. He had 87 percent marks in high school. Passed intermediate examination from Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Bisalpur. Then he got 88 percent marks. Yash, who did BA and MA History from Bareilly College, initially wanted to join the Army. He passed the written examination of NDA and CDS in his first attempt but failed in the interview. After this he resolved that he would succeed in the Public Service Commission examination at any cost. After just 10 months of preparation in Delhi, success finally kissed his feet.
This time in the UPSC CSE 2023 Result, appointment of 1016 candidates has been recommended for 1143 vacancies including IAS, IFS and IPS. Of these, 347 belong to the general category. 115 belong to EWS, 303 OBC, 165 SC, 86 ST categories. The result of 355 candidates has been kept provisional.
