The timetable for prelims of UPSC Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 has been released. You can download it directly from the official website of Union Public Service Commission.

As per the official time table, the exam for UPSC ESE Prelims 2025 will be conducted on June 8, 2025. This examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning. Whereas, the second shift will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.

These will be two papers

During the first shift, candidates will solve questions from General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Paper-1. This exam will be for 200 marks and candidates will be given 2 hours to solve all the questions. This will be an objective paper.

In the second shift, which will be held between 2 pm to 5 pm, students of civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and telecommunication engineering will give papers of their respective subjects. This paper will be of 300 marks and every candidate will be given 3 hours to solve it. This paper will also be objective only.

Keep these things in mind before going to the exam

If you are going to appear for UPSC Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025, then you will have to keep some things in mind. Like reach your center 30 minutes before time. This is so that you can find your hall according to your roll number at your centre. Keep in mind that while giving the paper, you should not have any electronic gadget which could lead to copying. If this happens, you may be stopped mid-exam. Apart from this, legal action can also be taken against you.

Before going to the examination centre, keep some documents with you. For example, you should have the original Aadhar card, so that you can be identified at the centre. Apart from this you should have your admit card. You need to be cautious regarding the admit card. Download it on the day the admit card is released for the exam and if there is any mistake in it, immediately contact the official help portal of UPSC for correction. You will not be able to appear in the examination with an admit card with incorrect information.
