UPSC Mains Exam Tips 2024: With the conclusion of UPSC Prelims, candidates are breathing a sigh of relief. Now the candidates who have cleared this exam will appear in the UPSC Mains exam. 1. Don't be afraid to write the 'correct answer'

UPSC Mains is a written exam in which the answers have to be written by hand. So practice a lot. This will reduce your spelling and grammar mistakes. Along with this, you will gain confidence. Candidates are advised not to be afraid of writing the 'correct answer'. Along with this, strengthen your answer by writing it on the basis of data and reports.

2. Have a friend review your answers

The IAS officer has advised that whenever you write an answer, get it reviewed by yourself and your friends. Many times we do not see any mistake in our own answer, but when someone else reads the answer, he can tell you some points which can make your answer even better.

3. Practice, practice, practice

If candidates need anything to write the best answer in UPSC Mains, it is practice. Without practice, no answer can be the best.

4. Focus on optional subjects

The IAS officer said, try and complete the syllabus of your optional subject by November. For this, you will have to study the optional subject for at least six hours every day and study general studies in the remaining time. 5. Focus on essay writing

Rani says that essays are asked in the exam, which are quite scoring. Therefore, it is important to prepare for them.
