Union Public Service Commission released the final result. Kuhu Garg, international badminton player and daughter of former DGP Ashok Kumar, got 178th rank in UPSC in her very first attempt. Kuhu did her early schooling from Brightland and Welham Girls School, Dehradun. After this he completed his graduation from SRCC College, Delhi. Kuhu has won many open category medals in badminton including the Asian Championship. He along with badminton player Chirag Sen won many medals in the open category. His father Ashok Kumar was an IPS of Uttarakhand cadre and retired from the post of DGP and became the Vice Chancellor of Rai Sports University, Haryana. Mother Dr. Alaknanda Ashok is the Dean of Pantnagar University. Here, former DGP Ashok Kumar said that Kuhu Garg, who played the quarter-finals of the World Championship in the open category, will be the first player who has become an IAS or IPS officer.

Kuhu told that she has been associated with badminton for the last 15-16 years. This is his passion. But since childhood, seeing his father in uniform, he had a desire to become an IPS in some corner of his heart. But, she became so busy in sports that she hardly got time to study. When there was a lockdown during Covid, I got a chance. Studied for one and a half year. After this, due to health reasons he had to leave the game for some time.

Kuhu said – If given a chance, she will serve the country through sports also.

Kuhu said that sports has always been and will always be a passion. If I get a chance to play while working, I will definitely play. She will continue to serve the country and society through sports also. Kuhu has also achieved the country's number one rank with her 34th best world ranking in her game. She has played World Championship in the year 2018. Has played Asian Championship in the year 2018 and 2019, World Junior Championship in 2013 and 2016. He has 19 international and 56 national medals in his account.
