UP TGT PGT Exam, Assistant Professor Exam: The first meeting of the newly formed Uttar Pradesh Education Service Commission was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Acting Chairman and Principal Secretary Higher Education MP Aggarwal. In the meeting, there was discussion on streamlining the work of the Commission and starting the selection process as soon as possible by completing all the formalities by June. First of all, preparations are being made to conduct written examination for selection to 1017 posts of Assistant Professor in non-government aided colleges. After that, examination will also be conducted for recruitment to 4163 posts of Trained Graduate (TGT)/Lecturer (PGT) in aided colleges. An in-principle agreement has been reached to operate the new commission on the lines of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
The Acting Chairman has constituted a total of nine committees including business operating rules, selection of lawyers to represent the cases, infrastructure, transfer of documents. A committee has been given the responsibility to go to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and submit a report after understanding the work and the entire functioning of the section, right from conducting the examination. Instructions have been given to all the committees to give their recommendations within 15 days so that the work of the commission can be started expeditiously after taking approval from the government.
Issues like creating a new Commission website, allotting withdrawal-disbursement DDO code, setting up the counter, staff required for functioning, creation of posts, weeding out (disposal) of old files and records etc. were discussed. The meeting which started at 11 am continued till 2 pm. Ratnapriya, Secretary of Higher Education Service Commission, welcomed Acting Chairman MP Aggarwal and Acting Secretary Girijesh Tyagi with bouquets. The operation was done by Dr. Shivji Malviya, Deputy Secretary of Higher Education. In the meeting, members Ram Suchit, Yogendra Nath Singh, Rajendra Pratap Singh, Vimal Kumar Vishwakarma, Kirti Gautam, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Prof. Apart from Raj Narayan Shukla, Dr. Seema Shakya, Dr. Harendra Kumar Rai, Dr. Radhakrishna, Dr. Rohitash Singh and Dr. KC Verma, Deputy Secretary of Selection Board Naval Kishore, Finance Officer Madhulika Singh etc. were present.
Opportunity demonstrated in assistant professor recruitment
Candidates who passed UGC NET in the joint session of June and December 2022, June 2023 and December 2023 demonstrated outside the newly formed commission on Wednesday, demanding to be given opportunity in recruitment to 1017 posts of Assistant Professor in non-government aided colleges. Candidates say that due to Corona, various teaching and examination sessions could not be conducted on time. As a result, many candidates, even after preparing for the NET exam, were not able to achieve the desired qualification for Assistant Professor recruitment due to the exam not being conducted on time. Various commissions have provided applications and various other opportunities to the students affected by Corona. Therefore, it is requested that in the interest of the students, please reopen the application portal of advertisement number 51 for a week. Otherwise, you will be forced to approach the court.
Inspected and gave instructions for e-filing of files
Principal Secretary Higher Education MP Aggarwal inspected the Directorate of Higher Education on Wednesday. Instructions were given to speed up disposal of IGRS cases, weed out (destroy) old files and do e-filing of files. Asked Director Dr. Amit Bhardwaj to speed up the work by inspecting the sections regularly. During this, Director Amit Bhardwaj, Joint Director Dr. Aparna Mishra, Assistant Directors BL Sharma and SKS Pandey etc. were present.
