UPSSSC JE Vacancy: After 21 years of fighting a legal battle, BTech degree holders have got a chance to apply for junior engineer recruitment. In its June 7 order, the Supreme Court has ordered the Subordinate Services Selection Commission to accept applications from BTech degree holders for junior engineer recruitment in the irrigation department. The final decision on the petition filed in the Supreme Court by Shubham Chandra Tripathi is yet to come, but the June 7 order has raised hopes for more than 10 lakh BTech degree holders of UP to join the JE recruitment of PWD, Irrigation, Electricity, Rural Engineering, Construction Corporation, Water Corporation in the future.

Deepak Singh, President of Graduate Engineering Welfare Association, says that in 2003, B.Tech candidates were excluded from the JE recruitment of the Irrigation Department. Since then, B.Tech degree holders were demanding opportunities because due to limited recruitment of Assistant Engineers, B.Tech candidates do not get a proper opportunity to join government service, whereas apart from the JE recruitment of the Staff Selection Commission, B.Tech qualification is also valid in the JE recruitment of the Railways.

You can submit the application form till 28 June
