The newly appointed chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prof. Kirti Pandey, took charge on Teachers' Day on Thursday. After assuming charge, she took information about every aspect in a marathon meeting with all 12 members and officials for four hours. Keeping in mind the youth who have been waiting for recruitment for a long time, first of all she has formed a committee to release the calendar of the recruitment examination. The committee formed under the chairmanship of member Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh has been asked to prepare the calendar within ten days. After that, the calendar will be approved and released in the meeting of the commission.
On enquiring about the nine committees formed earlier to streamline the functioning of the commission, it was found that the reports of the committees for transfer of assets and disposal of documents constituted under the chairmanship of former secretary of Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Selection Commission Ratnapriya and finance officer Madhulika Singh could not be found. On this, the chairman has assigned the responsibility of both the committees to the newly appointed secretary Manoj Kumar and finance controller Akhilesh Pathak. Apart from this, a committee has been constituted for interview for 138 vacant posts in the recruitment started in 2008 for 337 posts of Assistant Professor in the aided colleges of the state under advertisement number 42 and a report has been sought. The same committee has also been asked to submit a report regarding the pending interview of TGT Biology and TGT Arts. Further action will be taken on this after taking legal opinion. Apart from this, a committee has also been constituted for the early release of the result of 13 posts of Assistant Professor Chemistry in non-government colleges under advertisement number-50 and a report has been sought.
Instructed to call for requisition for recruitment
The newly appointed chairman held talks with the delegation of youths protesting outside. The candidates demanded to start teacher recruitment in council schools and issue advertisements for selection on 27713 vacant posts in 68500 teacher recruitment. On this, the chairman instructed the Deputy Secretary to contact the departments and call for requisitions.
Write a letter to the Controller of Examinations
Chairman Prof. Kirti Pandey has also given instructions to write a letter to the government for the appointment of Controller of Examinations, Law Officer and Deputy Secretaries in the newly formed Commission. There is a provision for these posts in the Act but the appointment has not been done till now. The Commission will need a Controller of Examinations to conduct the examinations.
