The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) released the revised final result of Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Examination-2022 (PCS J) on Friday. After the revision, two candidates selected in the final result released on August 30, 2023 have been excluded while two new candidates have been selected. However, the commission has not officially given any information about these four candidates. The commission had released the final result of PCS J 2022 on August 30 last year. Shravan Pandey, a candidate who appeared in the main examination, dissatisfied with the result, had filed a petition in the High Court saying that his copy has been changed, he came to know about this after seeing the copy through RTI.
When the matter was investigated on the High Court's direction, it was found that the bundle of copies of the main examination kept in bundles of 25 each had been changed. That is, a total of 50 candidates were affected by this. The commission called all the candidates who appeared in the main examination and showed them their copies by the end of July and then on August 17, while releasing the revised result of the main examination, declared five candidates successful for the interview, who could not appear in the interview despite being eligible. After conducting their interviews, the final result was declared on Friday.
Petitioner Shravan Pandey was also not selected
The roll numbers of the five candidates declared successful by the commission on 17 August included the roll number of Shravan Kumar Pandey, who had filed a petition in the High Court regarding the result. These five roll numbers are not visible in the result released on Friday. It is clear that none of these five got selected. Commission sources say that the candidates affected by the copy changing also included those who had given the interview but could not get selected. It is being speculated that the two new candidates who have been selected could be any two such candidates. Last year 302 people were declared successful while now 303 have been declared successful. It is being said that a candidate had filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding this examination, so the commission had withheld the result of one post last year, now its result has also been declared. Due to this the number has gone up from 302 to 303.
Questions arose, why is the commission hiding the name
After the revised final result was released, questions have once again been raised on the role of the commission. The question is being raised as to why the commission is hiding the names of the candidates who were eliminated and those who were successful. Instead of mentioning this in the revised result, the commission has released the list of 303 selected candidates in the same way as the list of 302 candidates was released last year. One more thing is becoming clear after looking at both the lists that after the revised result, the rank of many candidates has also changed.
