With the change in the reservation roster in the Bihar Public Service Commission examinations, the number of vacancies in different categories will also change. Especially the vacancies created during June-July will be affected. During this period, the Commission conducted examinations for 1 lakh 40 thousand vacancies separately. The application was taken under the new reservation rule. The Commission has so far implemented the old reservation rule by making changes in the vacancies of two major examinations. The first change was made in the vacancies of Agriculture Officer and the second change was made in the vacancies of Head Teacher. There are certain to be changes in the reservation roster of about three to four more major examinations. This change has happened after the High Court ordered a stay on the new rule of giving 65 reservations of the state government.
The Commission has not yet received any proposal regarding changes in the roster. According to official sources, the court has abolished the new reservation provision. Therefore, if the result is released as per the old rule, it will have a huge impact on the vacancies on 87,774 posts in the third phase of the teacher recruitment process. There will be an increase in the posts of unreserved category. Apart from the changes in the vacancies in different categories of teachers, vacancies for 110 posts of Architect, 6061 posts of Principal and 318 posts of Horticulture Officer were removed under the new rule of reservation 75 (including 10 percent EWS).
Their results will also be released under the old reservation rules only. Recently there has been a change in the roster of the head teacher. After this the number of posts has reduced from 40247 to 37943. The result for 1051 posts of Agriculture Officer has also been released under the old reservation rules.
Commission Secretary Satya Prakash Sharma said that rosters have been prepared and sent from two departments under the old reservation rules. On this basis the result will be released.
The first advertisement that came out was for Agriculture Officer.
BPSC had released the first advertisement for Agriculture Officer under the new reservation rule. In the end, after canceling 75 reservations from the court, the result was released as per the old reservation rule. After this, the number of seats in the unreserved quota increased, while the seats in the reservation of other quotas were reduced as before. The Commission had conducted the examination of Agriculture Officer for 1051 posts.
