The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the hiring of 2000 Probationary Officer (PO) positions in its latest notification released on Wednesday. Based on the guidelines, interested candidates should be graduates in any stream and between 21 years and 30 years of age. The procedure for the same can be completed by visiting SBI’s official website before 27 September.

At the same time, it is imperative to note that the preliminary examination is scheduled for November 2023. An application fee of Rs 750 is liable for the form.

Qualifications

The candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Interested candidates, who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their graduation, can also apply for the same.

However, those applying should be aware that if called for the interview, proof of passing the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2023, needs to be made.

Age limit

An applicant should be between 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2023. Reductions in the age limit will be given to reserved category candidates.

Exam pattern

The exam, scheduled for November 2023, involves a written paper, followed by an interview and document verification.

The written examination will be held in two phases. The first phase of the examination, known as Prelims, consists of 100 marks. The pattern includes 30 questions in English Language, 35 of which will be related to Quantitative Aptitude and 35 of which will relate to Reasoning Ability.

For Mains, also known as the exam’s second phase, questions are worth 250 marks. The second part involves objective questions. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for an interview and document verification.
